BHS Master Planning

Swanson Rink's skill sets allow us to collaborate in all phases of Airport Master Planning. We can assist with site and terminal space planning, advise on baggage handling system (BHS) spatial and volumetric requirements, and develop BHS load models, time sensitive load profiles, and BHS load growth projections.

Swanson Rink also can perform BHS construction cost estimates and life cycle cost analyses. We have developed an analytical approach to qualitative and quantitative analysis of planning alternatives which allows us to help guide the planning team toward the preferred solution. Swanson Rink can perform dynamic simulation of planning alternatives to surface design/operational issues, and to test the effectiveness of various operational scenarios.
